Animanga#2

Shion No Oh turns out to be a lil' bit boring actually.. it is a slow paced anime.. Not like Kyo Kara Maoh. I can watch it over and over again.. I spent a whole week to finish it. Mostly crying if not laughing. The story is well narrated and the ending is great. I love it. It has a certain value that I cherish the most, that is loyalty. It is not easy to be a leader, let alone a king to rule a country that is constantly at war. A king cannot be fair and great if not of his loyal assistants. He had helps, yes. These helps he got from his loyal subjects that made me crying my heart out hahaha they were too loyal. Too good to be true. Reality checks in. But I want to believe in the world we live in, we still have our faith in our country, and loyal to our leader, parents, siblings, partners and even our dear friends.
Kyo Kara Maoh still airs in Animax Channel. Lately, I have been working late and miss the episodes. Even though Animax repeats them on weekends, I could not watch as I worked the whole weekend. That is why I decided to buy the DVDs (season 1 & season 2). Hahaha I am lucky to have a husband that understands me well. Of all the animes that I have bought so far, maybe only 20% he watched. And that 20% is probably Naruto.
Not all the story that I bought is worth watching. Whether they are slow paced or the story is not strong enough for my taste. Or too much skins. Well, as expected, these differences put colours to our life. What is good if the bad is not around. What is truth if lies does not exist. Reality checks in again.

Animanga

Lately, I spend most of my free time watching anime. I started with Naruto at first & I am proud to say that I am a Naruto fan and collecting the DVDs. I am not so keen with manga (not that I don't like reading, I have read almost all the Harry Potter books, mind you ... err only the last 4 heheh and Patricia Cornwell's), but I am following the online Naruto manga and that is because the manga is very much updated that the anime version.
While waiting for new Naruto DVDs, I try to watch other anime I can find in my favourite store (some of them were recommended). I spend almost RM50 every week on the DVDs (I am not so proud at this however heheh). Later, I would spend my evenings watching them until late night. Hmm... if you call 3 to 4 am is late night, that is. My husband said that I am obsessed by animes. Hahahah I am not an otaku yet because I am not into video games and cosplay, I tell you.
Well, only after 2 years enjoying Naruto only I opened myself to other anime. I know it's a long time, I guess I am afraid that I might start other anime collection if I started to enjoy them. For example, I don't follow Bleach because like Naruto, the story still continues to date. I only bought animes that has ending episode.
After Naruto, I watched Shion No Oh. It's about a girl named Shion who enjoys playing shougi (I believe it's a Japanese chess) with a mystery surrounding her about her parents' death. I like mysteries. The reason I chose this particular anime is because she plays shougi (like Shikamaru in Naruto) and there is a mystery in it.
Didn't I tell you I started with Naruto? Hmm, yes if it's anime. But with manga, I started with Hajime Kindaichi when I am still a teenager. And then with Detective Conan. I am not so keen with Dragon Ball as my husband is (and he is still a Dragon Ball fan up until now). But we both like Naruto. Thanks to my brothers, Ikmal and Afif, and my youngest sister, Zatty. If it not for them, I won't be exposed to anime and manga. At that time, there were many comics coming from China. I remember posting them a comic called, "Harimau Laut" every month from Penang where I was studying.
Thank you Mal, Afif & Zatty for introducing me to this animanga world hehehe.
